Location: Main Hospital / Chapel Hill
Hours: Full Time, 36 hrs/wk; will work two weekends per month
• Day Shift; 7:00am--7:30pm
• Night Shift; 7:00pm--7:30am
UNC Health Care's Rehabilitation Unit is recruiting for a qualified Nursing Assistant to join our team. The Rehabilitation Center is a 30-bed inpatient unit that provides a full range of services to people who have temporary or permanent disabilities, including those recovering from strokes, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, multiple traumas, and amputations, as well as neuromuscular and neurological impairments. High quality professional care is contingent on staff who are compentent, dedicated, enthusiastic, and compassionate. This NA will provide routine direct and indirect care in the rehabilitation setting, which will include assisting patients with activities of daily living, as well as completing vital signs and glucose checks. All work is performed under the direct supervision of an RN or physician. We have both day and night shift availability. All NAs in the Rehab Center work two weekends out of each month.
High School diploma or GED. Listed as Nursing Assistant I with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification. Six (6) months of relevant nursing assistant experience, which may include a nursing assistant course.
