Job Description

Nurse Educator - Policy focused needed for Nursing Practice and Professional Development (NPPD) Team

This is a non-traditional nurse educator role. The PolicyStatTM Site Administrator provides oversight of the PolicyStat platform, the documents housed within, and serves as the liaison for PolicyStat technical support.  As the platform expert, collaborates with corporate stakeholders to develop best practice and standards for policy creation, review and approval pathways. Determines educational needs and develops education and resource tools owner, editors, and approvers within PolicyStat. Works collaboratively with other PolicyStat Site Admins from across all entities to develop system-wide norm.  Works closely with departments reporting to multiple accrediting agencies to develop corporate norms for individual policy areas which meet the needs of both the organization and the accrediting bodies. Requires a global perspective of the organization, excellent professional communication skills,  and outstanding customer support. Participates as an active member of the Nursing Policy Committee and other committees as assigned.

This position reports to the Director, NPPD and may have other duties assigned which provide support for the NPPD department.  Full time position mostly day shift 8am-4:30pm and eligible for benefits. 

Qualifications

Requires a BSN from a state accredited school of professional nursing and three years of experience in tertiary care with two years clinical experience in the assigned specialty. Must be currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the state of North Carolina by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.  Current certification in Healthcare Provider BLS/CPR required.   Nursing Specialty certification is expected. 

 

Prefer experience in classroom presentation.  Successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of policy revision, experience working with IT systems/programs, and strongly prefer proficiency in Microsoft Office System.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to this position.
