The Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery is seeking a team-driven, detail-oriented, and customer service-focused Nurse Manager for our busy adult and pediatric ENT Clinics. This person must be comfortable working with and supervising a variety of roles including Medical Assistants, Scope Technicians, LPNs and RNs. The PSMI will provide day-to-day staff supervision and support, customer service, oversee daily flow, and provide patient care in ENT. Collaborating with department leadership, the PSMI will share in administrative responsibilities and implement of policies and procedures for the department. A successful candidate will exhibit flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to multi-task daily.
Management responsibilities include but are not limited to: ensure appropriate care and services are available to patients and families, ensure appropriate clinic staffing, shared responsibility for annual performance reviews, participation in quality and process improvement initiatives, provide real-time support to department staff, provide and facilitate an environment conducive to staff continuing education needs, provide customer service support including service recovery, optimize staff engagement, patient satisfaction and monitor EPIC Charge Review work queues on a regular basis in order to correct billing issues in a timely manner.
Clinical duties include but are not limited to: working in float roles and providing staff training as needed.
This position is full time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Supervisory, EPIC and outpatient experience is preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from a state-accredited school of professional nursing. Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. Eighteen (18) months of professional nursing experience in a tertiary care setting to include didactic and clinical experience in the area of assignment.
