Position: Manager, Accounts Payable
Location: Shared Services Imperial Building / Durham
Hours: Full Time, 40 hrs/wk; Days
This position may involve support of various hospitals and health care systems within the UNC Health Care System, but will be employed by Rex Hospital, Inc. (this includes, but is not limited to, for purposes of payroll, health benefits, retirement options, and applicable policies)
The System Manager of Accounts Payable is responsible for the processing of requisitions, purchase orders and invoices, for the procurement of goods and supplies. Develops and implements strategies for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, quality improvements and process efficiencies. Reviews requisitions, purchase order, check requests and invoices for conformance to company policy, and discusses issues or problems with suppliers. Builds strong relationships with UNC Affiliates to ensure excellent results driven customer service to include building a strong process to ensure timely payment of all approved documents.
Description of Job Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable- Manages accounting functions including maintenance of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and project accounting; ensures accuracy and timeliness. Develops implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines. Manages monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information; ensures accuracy of financial statements.

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline. Seven (7) years of experience in a position of similar scope and responsibility of related field, with at least five (5) years management experience.
