Job Description

The Medical Assistant I Certified provides routine clinical and administrative support to providers and other health care team members in an outpatient clinic setting. The Medical Assistant I Certified works under the clinical supervision of the provider for patient care activities, and under the general direction of the designated manager/supervisor for non-clinical responsibilities.

About our clinic:

We are an Integrative Health Care clinic that serves our corporate sponsor employees and their families. Our team includes:
    • Four primary providers,
    • Counselor, 
    • Health Coach,
    • Physical Therapist,
    • Acupuncturist,
    • Chiropractor,
    • Optometrist and Vision retail center, 
    • Along with several RNs, Medical Office Assistants and Medical Assistants, Certified. 
  • Clinic days/hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 am-7:00 pm; Saturdays 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. Full and part time work schedules are available.
  • Our convenient RTP location is easily accessible from highways 540, 147 and 40. 
  • Free parking!

Requires high school diploma or equivalent.

Completion of a Medical Assisting program accredited by either the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accreditation Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) is strongly preferred but not required.

Prior medical assistant or medical assistant externship experience preferred.

Requires Medical Assistant certification by either the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Healthcareer Association (CCMA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA).

Prefer candidates with current Basic Life Support Certification from American Heart Association at the time of hire. If selected candidate does not possess BLS, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
