Job DescriptionThe following is a summary of the essential functions of this entry level job. The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below; and specific functions may change from time to time. Actively participates and supervises project activity, including coordination of construction activities. Performs general maintenance duties as required. Ensures that a culture of safety is practiced for all areas of responsibility. Oversees and coordinates all aspects of Environment of C are (EOC) and Safety requirements to maintain compliance. Supervises employee time and attendance for assigned departments. Supervises operations and preventive maintenance. Actively participates and supervises repair maintenance and work request activities. Supervises security operations. Possesses the general technical skills necessary to act as a uniformed security officer. Conducts Security Assessments. Employee Security Education. Ability to assist with responsibilities and coordinate activities for both Bio-Medical and Telecommunications. Assist Facility Director with projects and development of policy and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned by Facilities Services Director or as deemed necessary and appropriate.
High school education with one to two years of specialized training in one or more of the following trades: HVAC, Plumbing, Electricity, Bio-Med, Security, and/or Environment of Care (EOC). Individual must possess valid N.C. driver’s license and proof of driving record.
A minimum of 10 years experience directly related to Facilities Services preferably in the healthcare field; a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience. Previous experience with inspections involving The Joint Commission preferred.
