Job Description

This position may involve support of various hospitals and health care systems within the UNC Health Care System, but will be employed by Rex Hospital, Inc. (this includes, but is not limited to, for purposes of payroll, health benefits, retirement options, and applicable policies). If selected candidate is currently employed with UNC Health Care System the candidate will stay on current payroll and benefits platform.

The Care Access & Service Integration (CASI) Business & Quality Improvement Leader will be responsible for driving change that supports improved care access and referral workflows in outpatient clinics/services across the health care system. The core objective of CASI's access work is to get the right patient to the right provider at the right time.

He/she will partner with clinic/service leadership to understand CASI data and use it to drive priorities for improving access for both patients and providers. This position would be responsible for assisting clinic leaders and staff with implementing communication strategies/accountability structures for incorporating care access into operational agendas. This position would also be responsible for ensuring Care Access & Service Integration foundational design principles and tools are implemented, and will escalate barriers to improvement to CASI leadership. The Business & Quality Improvement Leader will assist clinics/services with tracking toward CASI milestones, and will ensure clinics/services are positioned well to sustain gains using supportive tools developed by the CASI team. 

A successful candidate in this role will have/develop a mastery of principles that improve Care Access, as well as an in depth understanding of metrics and how operational workflows impact metrics. He/she will also be an excellent written and verbal communicator with strong interpersonal skills and will demonstrate effective project management, analytical, and facilitation skills. Ability to work well independently and with groups is a must.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline.

 

If a Bachelor's degree: Four (4) years of experience in quality team facilitation, project management, process improvement or quality data analysis.
