Regularly patrol the grounds and buildings of the campus providing security, assistance and information as needed.
Staff security stations in Women's Center and Emergency Room.
Inspects equipment for tampering and reports irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked.
Investigates incidents or variances of unusual circumstances reported by hospital staff, visitors, physicians, or patients. Completes variance reports and documents investigatory steps and results.
Direct traffic flow including movement of barracades.
Must wear Service Belts which includes all issued equipment. Able to assist with charging of batteries or inflating of tires of stranded motorists.
Provides escort for visitors, patients, and employees to and from external areas on the hospital property. Observes departing persons to further aide in safety.
May respond to emergency situations which could involve restraining of individuals or securing facilities due to safety threat.
Participates in, and responds to, all disaster plans.
Maintains lost and found logs. Notifies individuals when items reported missing are located.
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Some computer experience is preferred.
Training: Physical abilities testing required upon hire and annually
