Delivers direct and indirect care to all patients presenting to the Emergency Department. Recognizes all life-threatening emergencies or other emergencies, based on triage policy and reacts appropriately per ED standing orders and notifies ED physician in a timely manner.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina. Current certification in CPR, ACLS, PAL and CPI required. ENP-C, TNCC and/or other Emergency Medicine oriented/focused classes preferred. Previous experience in emergency nursing or active member of EMS is preferred, but not required. Knowledge of fatal arrhythmias, acute event of EKG and cardiac rhythms.
