BUSINESS APPLICATION SPECIALIST
JOB SUMMARY: Serves to implement and support business templates and maintains complex systems to continually meet the operational requirements of the ONC Staffing department. Serves as the liaison between end-users and system information services for business application system issues. Subject matter authority in the administrative area for the ONC Staffing Department.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Defines and maintains provider and other resource templates to meet the operational requirements of the oncology service line.
Coordinates and completes special projects independently or in cooperation with other groups as assigned.
Documents detailed business processes for the ONC staffing department.
Formulates/defines scope and objectives for department systems development and implementation.
Acts as a business expert and assists users in defining needs.
Participates in service line initiatives to improve efficiency and reach institutional goals/objectives.
Participates in testing and validating appropriate processing of new templates and visits types to verify correct functionality.
Works with Information Services to update access for providers, visit types, and various template revisions.
Prepares operational materials for departmental planning and process improvement.
Identifies through data analysis opportunities for improvement in business processing.
Participates in the planning and establishment of departmental reporting.

Education Requirements:
● Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information System Management, Math/Science or related field (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience).
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
● No licensure or certification required.
Professional Experience Requirements:
● If a Bachelor's degree: One (1) year of progressively responsible experience working with information systems.
● If an Associate's degree: Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience working with information systems.
● If a High School diploma or GED: Nine (9) years of progressively responsible experience working with information systems.
