Job Summary: Plans, organizes and administers overall programs and activities for department. Directs the integration of services within departments and throughout the organization.

Description of Job Responsibilities:

Human Resource Management
1. Makes rounds daily with Hospital Based Providers (Caldwell Acute Care Specialists, Caldwell Acute Psychiatric Service, Honas Hill Outpatient Psychiatry, Rad, Anesth, Path, ED)
2. Take appropriate action to support daily needs of providers.
3. Oversee the timely creation of provider schedules for Caldwell Acute Care Specialists, Caldwell Acute Psychiatric Service, and Jonas Hill Outpatient Psychiatry.
4. Coordinate with Locum providers and prn providers to achieve staffing targets.
5. Responsible for the Lucums contracts as well as final sign off for time paid.
6. Coordinate action to address provider absences with Admin Associate.
7. Coordinate policy to provide timely and smooth distribution of PTO requests.
8. Lead the hiring and onboarding/off boarding of providers for Caldwell Acute Psychiatric Service, Caldwell Acute Care Specialists, and Jonas Hill Outpatient Psychiatry.
i. Coordinate with Physician Recruitment in the interview/hiring process.
ii. Prepare and oversee execution of all contracts in conjunction with UNC Legal
iii. Prepare and oversee renewal of all contracts to assure compliance.
iv. Complete all required HR documentation and communication using INFOR as appropriate.
v. Coordinate with Medical Staff Office to assure timely credentialing and smooth onboarding of providers.
9. Provide consistent and transparent communication with all providers on matters that impact the groups and/or providers.
10. Communicate with providers regarding human resource notifications, programs and requirements and monitor and assist the providers in compliance and completion. (LMS modules, etc.) 

Quality and Service Management
1. Prepare trending and reporting of all defined service and quality metrics for individuals and groups.
2. In support of the Throughput Value Stream, collect and report data related to throughput.
3. Serve as a member (Lean facilitator?) of the Throughput Value Stream.
4. Present quality and service reports to individuals and groups on a quarterly basis.
5. In support of the Medical Directors, coordinate monthly (and ad hoc) group meetings for Caldwell Acute Care Specialists, Caldwell Acute Psychiatric Service, and Jonas Hill Outpatient Psychiatry providers.
6. Prepare and present annual quality report on contracted services for the Board of Directors.
7. Coordinate solutions to administrative and operational problems including the optimization of order sets, EPIC optimization, and installed software applications.
8. Collaborate with Caldwell and UNCHS ISD to notify and train the providers regarding updates and changes in EPIC.

Financial Management
1. Develop annual budget for Caldwell Acute Care Specialists, Caldwell Acute Psychiatric Services, and Jonas Hill Outpatient Psychiatry.
2. Review and report on budget variances monthly.
3. Develop strategies to enhance revenue and reduce costs.
4. Ensure compliance with coding/documentation requirements and timely completion of records.



Other Information

Education Requirements: Masters Degree (M.A.) preferred. 

Licensure/Certification Requirements:  

Professional Experience Requirements: Applicants with five or more years of applicable experience may be considered if actively pursuing a related Master's Degree and completion is within three years. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements: Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to complex inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.Computer skills ability to use hospital and medical claims processing software. Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Schedule Plus, and Microsoft Exchange. Proficient keyboarding skills. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
