The Revenue Cycle Representative will be a member of the Pre-Arrival team. Pre-Arrival performs eligibility and authorization tasks both pre-service and post-service. Team members are responsible for pre-service eligibility tasks of verifying, contacting payers & /or patients, making appropriate insurance changes. Post service tasks include working denied claims due to eligibility issues, authorization issues, updating patient records with accurate demographic and insurance information. This position is located at the Eastowne Pre-Arrival Unit. This position interacts with patients and insurance carriers via internet & telephone in all aspects of claim resolution. Successful candidates will multi-task well, possess strong customer service skills, are well organized with strong attention to detail and will be a team player.
Description of Job Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the accurate and timely submission of claims, response to denials, and re-bills of insurance claims, and all aspects of insurance follow-up including interfacing with internal and external departments to resolve discrepancies through charge corrections, write-offs, or other methods.
• Research and resolve a variety of issues relating to insurance denials, secondary billing issues. Contact patients and insurance companies to obtain information necessary for invoice or account resolution. Maintain basic understanding and knowledge of health insurance plans, policies and procedures. Accurately and thoroughly document the pertinent collection activity performed. Participate and attend meetings, trainings, and in-services to develop job knowledge. Meets/Exceeds Productivity and Quality standards.

Professional Experience Requirements:
● Two (2) years of experience in hospital or physician insurance related activities (Authorization, Billing, Follow-Up, Call-Center, or Collections)
