Operations Manager- North Chapel Hill Surgery Center
North Chapel Hill Surgery Center is a free standing facility that is a joint venture between Rex and UNC Med Center. This facility has 2 operating rooms and 8 preop/PACU bays.
Hours of operation:
Mon – Fri.; 40hr/week Exempt position; Dayshift only. No weekends, No Holidays, Admin call required.
Service lines: Ortho (hand, foot/ankle, sports med), Plastics, Ophthalmology (occuloplastics)
Ideal candidate has Peri-Op (OR and PACU) RN and management experience.

This role oversees the day-to-day
operations of a multi-specialty ambulatory surgical center.
The Manager will be responsible for daily operations, compliance with
regulatory requirements, and serves as point of contact in the absence of the Director.
Candidate must have
comprehensive understanding of ASC regulations and standards.
Coordinates daily operations.
In conjunction with the Medical Executive Committee andDirector, the Manager develops, implements, and monitors the facility’s policies and procedures, which assure cost-effective, safe, and high-quality clinical care.
Directly supervises clinical and nonclinical personnel, to include the recruitment of new teammates and evaluating performance of existing teammates.
Assists Director with activities required to ensure compliance with local, State and Federal regulatory requirements as well as standards established by CMS and AAAHC.
Collaboration with Director, Business Manager and Clinical Coordinators to determine clinical goals and effectively manages resources to achieve those goals.
Collaboration with Director, Business Manager and Clinical Coordinators to ensure quality facility medical activities, including staff and committee meetings, drills, quality improvement studies, Budget, and Cost Containment measures, etc.
Develops and maintains systems to collect statistical data and reports directly to Medical Executive Committee and Director.
Participates in professional development activities to keep current with healthcare trends, practices and management skills.
● BSN or relevant bachelor’s degree in business management, healthcare administration, etc. or equivalent ASC experience required.
● BLS required
● Knowledge of AAAHC Accreditation, CMS, and NC State and Federal regulations required
● Nurse Certification (CN-OR, CNL, CRNFA, CSSM) preferred
Professional Experience Requirements:
● Requires five years of ASC experience with at least two years of supervisor/team leader experience
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
● Knowledge in surgery scheduling, credentialing, and insurance verification preferred
