GENERAL PURPOSE: The Prime Information Service Division Internship program provides opportunities for collegiate students, recent graduates and work force re-entry candidates to explore various careers in Information Technology, within UNC Healthcare System. Potential candidates will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience, working with motivated and enthusiastic Healthcare System IT professionals, while expanding their knowledge base, building resumes and gaining relevant course related and career experience. Interns will work on tasks and projects as determined by the team/department they are working with. Responsibilities will include shadowing our senior team members coupled with hands on task and project assignments. The below positions may involve support of various hospitals and health care systems within the UNC Health Care System, but will be employed by Rex Hospital, Inc. (this includes, but is not limited to, for purposes of payroll, health benefits, retirement options, and applicable policies).
