Summary: UNC Physicians Network (UNCPN) has an opening for a Business Development Manager to support our growing group of physician practices statewide. The primary focus is to provide project management oversight for the transition of physician practices into the network.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for coordinating all activities related to the onboarding of new practices, including site visits, training, and due diligence.
  • Serve as a liaison for internal departments including Affiliate Accounting, Coding and Compliance, Credentialing , Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, IT, Legal, Operations, Quality, Population Health and Real Estate.
  • Prepare basic to moderately complex business plans, pro formas, practice assessments and presentations to inform and support leadership's decision making related to strategic initiatives.

    • Develops and leads an annual internal communication plan. Identifies a strategic vision for new communication opportunities and develops appropriate messages and vehicles to reach co-workers, physicians, volunteers and patients.
    • Manages execution of key communications vehicles such as the co-worker e-newsletter, quarterly forums, portal website and others; ensures the opportunity for two-way communication in appropriate communication vehicles. Manages special communication with physician audiences.
    • Oversees editorial content for the co-worker intranet. Participates on team developing co-worker portal. Responsible for development and ongoing upkeep.
    • Conducts ongoing communication audits to evaluate current methods of communication, receptivity and recall of key messages and take appropriate action based on audit results.
    • Assists in development of messages for the intranet, internal leadership meetings, system wide emails and other vehicles. Assists in the development of communication tools such as speeches, talking points, system letters and memos, internal presentations and other institutional communication projects. Oversees production of collateral materials for co-worker campaigns.
    • Serves as a resource to individual departments and key constituents such as nursing and volunteer services in a consulting role to review their communication methods, styles and messages. Serves as communication resource on internal projects such as growth initiatives and operational changes to facilitate development and distribution of key messages. Maintains awareness of and proficiency in current trends and practices in employee communications.
    • Collaborates with medical staff affairs to coordinate physician messaging and quarterly newsletter. Works closely with physicians and Rex leadership on service line teams, in the development of physician CME programs and participates on or leads customer service initiatives.
    • Responsible for video and online communications for co-workers, physicians and guests. Serves as on-call media contact on scheduled basis. Coordinates media requests in cooperation with media relations manager.
