Summary:
Performs a variety of testing and lensometry procedures to make and tailor eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids. Assists in the management of the Optical Shop.
Responsibilities:
1. Assists in managing and promoting Optical Shop. Promotes and sells glasses and related accessories in Optical Shop. Maintains inventory database. Orders and stocks supplies. Maintains cleanliness of displayed goods and equipment.
2. Performs procedures to make a variety of visual aids including papillary distance measuring to center lenses lensometry to confirm prescription, generate copies of glasses verify prisms and make bifocal add-ons. Fits, confirms and dispenses eyewear.
3. Provides Physicians, Residents, technicians and patients with information on optical products available.
