Coordinates the planning, replenishment, and delivery of Operating Room supplies and equipment. Organizes, directs, and controls inventory levels, stock replenishment, charges and order placement to optimize PAR levels within the Operating Room.
Nursing staff and patient are served by providing supplies and equipment for patient use in a timely manner.
• EDUCATION
o High School Diploma required. Completion of a Surgical Technologist training program.
• EXPERIENCE
o Three years (3) Surgical Technologist experience and/or three (3) years experience in the management of data for purchasing and materials management computerized inventory systems in either a supply or operating room environment.
• LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION
o Certified Surgical Technologist preferred
• OTHER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
o
 Good written, oral communication and analytical skills required.
 Ability to research, interpret and develop recommendations.
 Excellent organizational skills.
 Detail oriented.
 Ability to manage, organize, prioritize, multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
 Ability to meet challenging deadlines.
 Ability to work autonomously and with minimal oversight.
 Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
 Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and medical terminology.
 Effectively communicate with and train key co-workers to maintain inventory during your absences
• WORK ENVIRONMENT
o Alternating periods between computer workstation and moving thrughout the hospital.
• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
o Occasional standing, bending and lifting of supplies and equipment.
