Summary:
Responsible for planning, coordinating and teaching
learn-to-swim and water safety courses.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for designing and instructing group swim lessons, private swim lessons and assisting with the HQ swim team in the area of aquatics for HQ members and guests. Adapt your teaching approaches to the age, experience and ability of participants so they can meet course objectives. Ensures that all documentation of classes taught and attendance is recorded according to HQ policies. Ensures the safety and cleanliness of the pool area to include but not limited to floatation devices, kickboards, swim platform, etc.
Maintains and follows proper precautions for using equipment and cleaning products for the aquatic areas within HealthQuest. Schedules client swim lessons with HQ Director, insures participants are registered for the appropriate lessons, speaks to members within the pool areas, assists with questions regarding swim program, assists with swim team practice/meets, etc.
Participates in health fairs and marketing events to promote HQ wellness and aquatic services as indicated.
Investigates all information pertinent to concerns/issues and reports results of actions taken to resolve the issue to the director. Reports needs for equipment and supplies to the director on a timely basis. Performs other job related duties as assigned (ie: assist with laundry service, membership events, facility tours, etc)

Education Requirements:
● Must be at least 16 years of age. American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) preferred.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
● Current Basic Life Support Certification.
Professional Experience Requirements:
● Previous swim instruction experience preferred.
