POSITION SUMMARY
- The Temporary Registered Nurse is a full-time temporary role. The Temporary Registered Nurse will provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reporting and accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director, the Temporary Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting. Demonstrates proper performance of skills reflected and validated by orientation/skills checklist.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- The Temporary Registered Nurse will be assigned to a specific unit based on clinical competence.
- This position will pay a premium rate of $70.00/hour and is not eligible for benefits.
- Hired individuals will commit to a 13-week contract. If needed, this may be renewed one time, for a total of26 weeks (about 6 months).
- The Temporary Registered Nurse will be scheduled for full-time hours but will not be scheduled for overtime or on-call hours. They may be flexed off a scheduled shift.
- The Temporary Registered Nurse will be scheduled for unit-designated shifts on days, nights,weekends,and holidays based on the needs of the unit.
- The Temporary RN will float to ‘like’ units in which they have competence.
- The Temporary RN may apply for a permanent position at any time.
- Current Pardee employees are not eligible for this program.
- The contract terms will not alter the employment-at-will status of any employee. Employees may resign at any time and may be terminated at any time, with or without notice, with or without cause.
EDUCATION |
Must be graduated from an accredited school of nursing
LICENSURE |
Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina or one of compact states
EXPERIENCE |
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the clinical area
CERTIFICATION |
Current BLS certification required for all roles
Hired candidates are required to hold relevant certifications as per clinical area
