Job Description


Job Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst will perform financial modeling, predictive analytics, and reporting of health care data using spreadsheet and database management software. Modeling and analysis include gathering data from multiple sources, evaluating and synchronizing resulting data, benchmarking key financial indicators, adjusting for market conditions and strategic objectives, assessing for reasonableness using critical thinking and judgment, and interpretation of various types of health care data including claims data and financial reports. This position develops and/or contributes to proposals, reports, spreadsheets, pro formas, and presentations to enable organizational leaders to make well-informed decisions.

    Minimum Qualifications


    Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance from a recognized college or university, Master in in Hospital Administration or MBA or is required.





    Minimum of five (5) years of Acute Healthcare finance/accounting experience.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    · Detailed knowledge of operations in the health care industry and a strong understanding of business and clinical processes

    · Superior analytic shills and the ability to educate teammates is required

    · Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated attention to detail.

    · Competent to work on complex analysis assignments.

    · Ability to take part in development of strategies and interventions to affect cost and quality.

    · Ability to extract large data files and develop executive summaries is a must.

    · Ability to identify trends and produce forecasts

    · Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with proven ability to initiate and develop productive collaborative partnerships

    · Ability to meet multiple deadlines.

    · Critical-thinking skills and the ability to interpret, recognize, analyze, and solve problems within the position.

    · Effective communication and customer service skills with all levels of leadership, both internal and external. Ability to develop effective working relationships with teammates and leaders.

    · Proficient MS Office applications, particularly Excel, and the ability to learn new software rapidly.

    · Knowledge of Lawson, Infor, Business Objects, Strata and EPIC is a must.
