UNC Rex Pulmonary Specialist is seeking a full time pulmonary physician to join their growing practice in Raleigh, NC. The job will include working at one of our Raleigh offices and sharing equally in pulmonary inpatient coverage/call.

The outpatient practice operates multiple PFT labs and clinics. Each provider has dedicated support staff. UNC Rex has a busy endoscopy suite with fiberoptic bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound and navigational bronchoscopy services. The practice enjoys an extensive referral network with patients routinely being seen from much of central North Carolina. The group works closely with oncology, thoracic surgery and cardiology service lines within the healthcare system along with a large group of UNC affiliated and community primary care providers. The Rex Sleep Disorders Center comprises 5 accredited sleep labs with broad certified sleep providers within UNC Rex.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

• BC/BE in Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care

• Monday – Friday clinic schedule

• Inpatient Coverage 1 in 6 weeks with weekend rounding/call

• Dedicated time for bronchoscopies when needed

Founded in 1894, UNC REX Healthcare (a member of UNC Health Care) is a private, not-for-profit health care system that joined UNC Health Care in 2000. In addition to a 660-bed facility in Raleigh, UNC Rex also offers a range of health care services at locations across Wake County. These include 5 wellness centers, 6 suburban campuses, freestanding outpatient diagnostic urgent care and surgery centers, and 2 skilled nursing facilities focusing on rehabilitation and long-term nursing care.
