JOB PURPOSE
• Operates as a key member of the health care team using the nursing process. Clinical skills and leadership to direct, provide, and evaluate age specific patient care according to the department’s scope of service.
KEY CUSTOMERS SERVED AND CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
• Patients, families, and the other members of the healthcare team, as key customers, are provided with cost efficient care with excellent clinical outcomes, provided by a team member who understands and respects each member of the multidiscipline team and interacts with other team members and customers in a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
• EDUCATION
o Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• EXPERIENCE
o None required for beginning nurse/new graduates. Requirements for specialty areas are defined as 1-2 years of experience in specialty area or related clinical experience.
• LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION
o Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina; BLS certification, ACLS certification within one year. Additional certifications such as PALS, TNCC, and ENPC encouraged but not required.
