Summary:
The 3-D Imaging Technologist is responsible for manipulating digital medical images with 3-D software in multiple planes and dimensions for clinical visualization and quantitative analysis of diagnostic studies.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 10:00am-6:30pm (position is on-site)
Responsibilities:
1. Continuously provides training and support for physicians and technologists who are learning and utilizing 3D lab applications.
2. Ensures that images requiring post processing or manipulation are networked to appropriate workstations, and processed images are networked to PACS and other viewing or archival systems.
3. Generates quantitative measurements when appropriate under Radiologists supervision. Collaborates with radiologic technologists in CT and MRI, ensuring that acquisition scanning protocols used are up to date and appropriate for 3D.
4. Manages transfer of image data to and from the 3D Lab workstations in an accurate and timely manner. Manipulates digital medical images in multiple planes and dimensions for enhanced clinical visualization and analysis of specific areas of interest as directed by the Radiologists.
5. Operates computer software for producing 3D images and reconstructions for optimal visualization of patient?s anatomic structures as specified by the Radiologist. Works in collaboration with radiologists to ensure that the post processed images are of maximal clinical value.
6. Participates in the design and improvement of new protocols for data acquisition when appropriate. Uses the radiology information system to update scheduling and billing records, indicating that a 3D procedure was performed, and linked to the correct exam.

Education Requirements:
● Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
● Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Sciences. Must maintain registry status and continuing education requirements annually.
Professional Experience Requirements:
● One (1) year of experience in an imaging discipline.
