JOB PURPOSE
• The NAI is responsible for administering direct patient care and performing other duties deemed necessary to insure optimal patient care, under the direction and supervision of a professional nurse. The NAI performs duties, such as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, or moving patients or changing linens
KEY CUSTOMERS SERVED AND CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
• Patients and families are served in providing direct patient care services. Performs duties and conducts interpersonal relationships in a manner to project a positive image of the department and hospital. Insures that contacts with other health care members is friendly helpful and courteous.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
• EDUCATION
o High school graduate or equivalent. Completion of North Carolina(NC) Board of Nursing approved Nursing Assistant course.
• EXPERIENCE
o None required
• LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION
o Certified by the N. C. Department of Facility Services as a NAI. BCLS Certification
