UNC Health Cary Orthopaedics is looking for a BC/BE Orthopedic Surgeon for an exciting opportunity to work in one of the country’s top-rated areas for growth and lifestyle. Ideal candidates will be fellowship trained in Adult Reconstruction (primary/revision hip and knee arthroplasty). The clinical practice will be in Wake County, with surgical cases primarily performed at UNC Rex Holly Springs Hospital. UNC Cary Orthopaedics is comprised of fellowship-trained, board certified orthopaedic physicians who provide state-of-the-art orthopaedic surgery and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries for patients throughout the Triangle. Comprised of 15 physicians and 8 Advanced Practice Providers, Advanced Practice Providers provide primary call coverage with weekday call being generally limited to 2-3 times per month, with weekend call approximately once every-other-month.
Serving patients throughout the Triangle, UNC Cary Orthopaedics has one goal – to restore good health and mobility to those with bone and joint pain. Whether a patient suffers from pain or injury in the wrist, elbow, shoulder, hip, knee, ankle or spine, our team of orthopaedic physicians and physical therapists are experts in motion, offering both surgical and non-surgical treatment protocols. In addition to providing the highest level of care in general orthopaedics, the group has developed Centers of Excellence in the sub-specialties of Sports Medicine, Spinal Care, and Joint Replacement.

1. Provides professional medical services to patients.
2. Exercises independent professional judgment in the care and treatment of patients.
3. Orders and prescribes medical treatment, diagnostic testing, nursing care and other health and medical services. Prescribes medically appropriate pharmaceuticals.
4. Consults and counsels with patients and families. Provides health and medical education to patients and families.
5. Refers patients as needed to appropriate medial specialists and other health care professionals to assure appropriate multidisciplinary care is provided.
6. Documents medical and clinical care in the patient's medial record. Assigns the appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes to permit third party insurance billing.
7. Supervises other medical professionals.
8. Adheres to the principles of medical ethics.
