Summary:
The Licensed Marriage and Family therapist provides clinical mental health services. This would include mental health screenings and assessments, crisis intervention, individual, group and family therapies, referral to community professionals and agencies.
Responsibilities:
Complete mental health screenings and comprehensive assessments and evaluations of project enrolles as needed, interpreting findings to patient and family members as appropriate
Provides crisis intervention, developing treatments plans and assisting in goal formulation with patients and parents/guardians.
Provide individual psychotherapy and counseling, consultation to parents or guardians, family therapy to enrollees, and consultation to other professionals.
Advocates for patients within the school (if applicable) and community, reporting suspected child abuse, neglect, and dependency to community agencies.
Documents mental health information in medical records according to policies and state guidelines and records findings in a systematic and accurate form in the electronic medical record per guidelines and policies.

● Current North Carolina license to practice as a licensed marriage and family therapist or licensed marriage and family therapist associate (LMFT/LMFTA)
