Summary:

Plans, develops and coordinates the preparation of financial analysis supporting governmental reimbursement, cost reporting, chargemaster, and revenue integrity functions. Position supports all State supplemental payment models for the health system. Performs complex and specialized assignments in area of expertise. Performs lead role in coordinating complex projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Assists in the development, implementation and management of financial systems, and/or financial policies and procedures as needed. 

2. Develops complex financial reports and analysis for senior management. 

3. Leads analysis of annual Medicare and Medicaid rate changes for both IPPS and OPPS payment models. 

4. Assists in the development of the annual analysis of chargemaster rate changes. Includes partnership with managed care to inform payors of expected rate changes. 

5. Prepares and maintains accurate reporting of all State Supplemental payments. Supports complex modeling of supplemental payments. 

6. Utilizes various financial information systems in the preparation of reimbursement analysis, evaluation and reports relating to new clinical services or supplies to inform net revenue expectations. 

7. Serves a department lead for all complex financial analysis.

Education Requirements:
● Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
● No licensure or certification required.
Professional Experience Requirements:
● If a Master’s degree: Four (4) years of experience in financial planning or analysis.
● If a Bachelor's degree: Eight (8) years of experience in financial planning or analysis.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
● Research, retrieve and organize data to prepare reports and financial documentation, analyze and audit data. Prefer reimbursement, cost report, and/or chargemaster experience.
