We’re hiring laboratory professionals to join our hospitals in Chapel Hill, Hillsborough, Holly Springs, and Raleigh! We have opportunities available across several laboratory areas, including Core, Microbiology, Immunology, Transplant, Transfusion/Blood Bank, and Anatomic Pathology.

We have opportunities available for the following positions:

• Medical Technologists I/II
• Medical Lab Technicians
• Cytotechnologists
• Histotechnologists (HTL certified)
• Histology Technicians (HT certified)
• Clinical Lab Assistants

*Techs who are experienced in Transfusion Services/Blood Bank, and Transplant techs that are Certified Histocompatibility Technologist: CHT(ACHI) or Certified Histocompatibility Specialists: CHS(ACHI) are highly encouraged to apply!

How to Qualify:

Medical Technologist I:

• Requires Bachelor's of Science degree. Must meet eligibility requirements upon hire to sit for MT exam within 12 months of hire.
• Must become MLS/MT (ASCP), MT (NCA), or MT (AMT) certified within 12 months of hire.
• No prior experience required.

Medical Technologist II:

• Requires Bachelor's of Science degree.
• Requires MLS/MT (ASCP), MT (NCA), or MT (AMT) certification.
• Requires two years of experience at the medical laboratory technologist, cytotechnologist, or histotechnologist level.

Cytotechnologist:

• Bachelor's degree and completion of a one (1) year training program in an American Society for Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP) accredited school of Cytology.

• CT(ASC) certified by the ASCP Board of Certification (BOC) within one year of hire date.

• Bachelor's degree and completion of a one (1) year training program in an American Society for Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP) accredited school of Cytology, no years of experience required.

Histotechnologist:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry Science or Biological Science.

• HTL(ASCP) certified by the ASCP Board of Certification (BOC) within two years from date of hire.
• If Bachelor degree plus completion of NAACLS accredited histology program, no years of experience is required.
• If Bachelor degree in biological or chemical science, one (1) year of relevant laboratory experience.

Histology Technician:

• Associates degree in biological, chemical, or related science (with completion CLIA required courses) or NAACLS accredited histotechnician program.
• HT(ASCP) certified or certification eligible by the ASCP Board of Certification (BOC) within one year of hire date.
• If an Associate's degree, one (1) year of relevant experience. If completion of NAACLS accredited histotechnician program, no years of experience are required.

Clinical Lab Assistant

• High School diploma or GED
• No licensure or certification required.
• One (1) year of relevant experience.
• If Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Biological Science, no experience is required.
