Summary:

The Program Manager will lead and coordinate the design, development, and operational aspects of new and existing specialty programs within the Virtual Care Services team . This position will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation and continuous growth and improvement of programs, with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards and service delivery. 

The Program Manager will: 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, plan, and execute the development of new specialty programs 
  • Manage day-to-day program operations, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery 
  • Build a culture of exceptional customer service and serving as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, fostering positive relationships and ensuring effective communication 
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and maintain high standards of care 
  • Partner with other leaders to create a collaborative and positive work environment across a multidisciplinary team of providers, support staff, and administrators 
  • Monitor financial development and performance of the programs 
  • Develop and utilize data analytics and quality assurance protocols to assess program performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement

Responsibilities:

  • Analysis - Analyzes and resolves complex issues to maximize efficiency. Ensures all proper internal controls are in place to safeguard assets of the system and satisfies internal and external regulatory requirements. Develops and monitors operating and capital budget. 
  • Communication and Relationships - Works with peers to identify and analyze opportunities for improvement. Implements processes to identify, implement and ensure standardization decisions occur with minimal disruption to patient care or administrative activities and creating solutions. 
  • Financial and Business Planning - Provides analytical and strategy support for the assigned program. Performs analytics, provides business insight into implications of findings, develops business plans, and recommends opportunities for improvement. 
  • Program Administration - Plan, coordinate and administer activities of assigned program to include developing, implementing, and administering related procedures, processes, services and systems. 
  • Strategic Planning - Interface with all UNC Health Care entities and effectively communicate strategies, successfully elicit support and provide assistance implementing those strategies.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree

Professional Experience Requirements:

  • Five (5) years of program/project management experience required
  • Background in healthcare operations preferred
