Description

Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Stewardship, Gift and Donor Services, and a member of the Donor Experience team, the primary purpose of this position will be to provide administrative assistance to all areas of UNC Health Foundation and to assist with the day-to-day donor experience operations for the Foundation. Main areas of support include stewardship activities, research projects related to development initiatives, acknowledgement preparation, electronic and mail mass communications, database querying and data analysis, and event planning and support. To be successful in this role, one must demonstrate outstanding customer service through effective communication, strong attention to detail, prioritization of tasks, and management of development customer expectations ‐ identifying key task and milestones in support of projects and managing deadlines proactively to ensure solid partnership and project completion.
Responsibilities:
Education Requirements:
● Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Professional Experience Requirements:
● Candidates should have a minimum of 1 year of experience providing development support or working in a fundraising office. Familiarity with UNC Health, UNC School of Medicine or the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is preferred. Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
● An open communication style is essential for this position, as well as strong communication skills (verbal and written).
● Candidate must have excellent analytic, interpretive, and listening skills.
● Candidate must be able to work independently with little or no supervision to complete tasks and duties within prescribed deadlines, whether requested outside the office or self-imposed.
● Candidate must have functional knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
● Prior experience working in a CRM database system preferred.
