Job Summary
Responsible for the supply chain for the PeriOp Division – at the ASC Day Op in the ACC Building, the Main Operating Room and Children’s Operative Room at the UNC Medical Center, and the Operating Room at Hillsborough Hospital. Interviews, Hires, Disciplines as need, and performs annual performance evaluations for team of stock clerks and administrative specialists. Manages the supply chain information systems & staff processes to ensure requisite supplies on hand 24/7 for surgical needs.
Job Duties
Supervisor Manager to the stock clerks and administrative specialists who do the day to day operational tasks of ordering, counting, receiving and stocking the perioperative suites in preop, the OR, and post-op areas. Responsible for all stock and non-stock supplies, as well as CPD trauma implant back-stock. Pick supplies for operating room cases via Dr. Preference Card pick lists. Human Tissue management for Joint Commission. Consignment inventory management. Forecast and par level management setting and revisions. Equipment repair and vendor return management. Manage product recall process for supplies and patient implants. Bill Only management for vendor implant orders. Point of contact for clinical nursing and clinical nursing management for supply needs. Work with SVAC and new vendors for supply introductions. Point of contract for PeriOp for hospital Central Distribution and Shared Services Center. Supports and supplement’s CD portion in the stocked supplies chain. Responsible for expiration dates and team performs periodic checks to remove and value expired products, and revising stocking levels accordingly. Participates in daily Tier 2 huddles as supply lead.

Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Professional Experience Requirements:
● Three (3) years of experience in supply chain operations.
● One (1) year of supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
● Knowledge of supply chain inventory, purchasing and par management, as well as EDI – electronic data interchange processing for PO, receipts and advance ship notices. Intermediate skills in Excel for large file data filtering for supply catalog management. Knowledge and experience with hand-held mobile computers for supply ordering and physical inventory management. Ability to run pre-built Business Object reports on supply history, export to Excel and analyze supply chain trends to establish par levels with sufficient lead times.
