Job Description

Description

Become part of an inclusive organization with over 40,000 teammates, whose mission is to improve the health and well-being of the unique communities we serve.

Sr. Revenue Cycle Representative Role Description
This job title is generically referred to as a "team lead", but is known in our department as a "Small Business Owner" (SBO) because it acts in an operational leadership role. The leader selected for these positions will manage an assigned sector of AR under their supervisor. The SBO will be held accountable for their assigned segment of the business; which is where the "Small Business Owner" name comes from, to emphasize this responsibility. The SBO meets this accountability by making sure their portion of the team is working towards meeting their assigned metrics, which are set at the level of the department. On a regular basis, the SBO will be required to: report out to their supervisor and other leaders their metrics, be able to speak to the issues impacting those metrics, discuss what is being done to ensure AR is not negatively impacted. In addition, they also have a number of day-to-day tasks to accomplish.

A few of the key responsibilities of this role will be:

  • Monitoring Aging AR
  • Working High Dollar Accounts
  • Reviewing High Dollar Appeals
  • Running prompted reports in Business Objects
  • Analyzing reporting to identify issues and assign projects
  • Trending and monitoring identified issues
  • Using dashboards to monitor health of AR
  • Quality Auditing
  • Answering Helper Requests from the team
  • Performing Charge Corrections
  • Training new staff and ongoing development of current staff
  • Working on site as needed when training new hires
Being organized is key! The SBO will be required to track, monitor and report on their assigned projects. There are a number of established processes within the department already, but there are also cases where they will have to keep work organized on their own.
