UNC Health and UNCPN are currently seeking an Urgent Care Medical Director to lead 4 high performing Urgent Care clinics located in Chapel Hill, Hillsborough, Pittsboro and West Rockingham, North Carolina.  Join a Physician - led, mission driven team!

Qualifications

  • Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine work experience required
  • FM, EM or Med/Peds Residency Training & Board Certification required
  • Leadership experience required

Opportunity Details: 

  • Mix of clinical and administrative duties
  • Attend local quality meetings & support quality improvements
  • Local review/approval of patient discharge requests before submission to Experience Team 
  • Participate in practice provider recruitment & interviews 
  • Attend Medical Director meetings
  • Review/approve provider PTO requests 
  • Assistance with Physician/APP On-Boarding 
  • Conflict resolution 
  • Monthly provider/team meetings 
  • Attend quarterly financial meetings with Director of Operations & Practice Manager 
  • Quarterly review of practice metrics/templates 
  • Perform annual provider reviews
  • Confirm appropriate APP supervision in the practice

  • 8am – 8pm | Sunday - Saturday rotation
