Job Description


Provides and teaches diagnostic procedures in the field of radiologic imaging. Maintains knowledge concerning radiation protection and safety in addition to general and electrical safety, infection control, TB and standard precautions. Prepares for and assist the radiologist in completion of intricate radiographic procedures. Prepares and administers contrast media and medications in accordance with state and federal regulations. Preforms patient assessments and provides patient care. Evaluates the appropriateness of examination and assess the quality of radiographic images.

This PART TIME position will be shared between the Urgent Cares at Flowers and Clayton. 

Urgent Care at Clayton:

Our office at Healthpark in Clayton houses the following four departments: Urgent Care, Primary Care, Ear, Nose and Throat, and Rheumatology. The clinic staff is comprised of 5-Primary Care providers, 1-Ear, Nose and Throat provider, 1-Rheumatology provider and 3-Urgent Care providers along with their support staff. 

Our office is conveniently located across the road form UNC-Johnston Hospital on Hwy 42 East just a few miles from Downtown Clayton and 40/42 interchange with easy access to HWY 70 Bypass and Interstate 40. Local restaurants are within a 5-10 minute drive. 

Clinic days/hours: Rotating Day and Evening hours, including weekends. 8am-8pm.

Type of work schedules offered: Flexible schedules that include weekend rotations and alternating evening and day shifts. 

Urgent Care at Flowers:

Our brand new facility provides Urgent Care 7 days a week, 8:00am-8:00pm. We have 2 full time providers, 2 nurses, 1 Medical Assistant-Certified and 2 Rad Techs. We typically offer 3, 12-hour work shifts. 

We seek a hard working individual, who gets along well with others and is honest, flexible, and positive! Experience in Urgent Care and knowledge of Epic EHR a plus!

The ideal candidate has:

  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must have ability to document information accurately and consistently
  • Must have good interpersonal and active listening skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills are a must
  • Must have strong analytical skills
  • Must be willing to work with a diverse staff.


Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program. Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible and become registered within one (1) year from date of hire. (Registry eligible candidates must provide a copy of diploma from accredited program.) Must maintain registry status and continuing education requirements annually. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
This position is employed by NC Health (Rex Healthcare, Inc., d/b/a NC Health), a private, fully-owned subsidiary of UNC Heath Care System. This is not a State employed position.
