This position will provide education related to burn management, fire safety and burn prevention to first responders, students, and community partners of the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center. S/he will serve as a clinical resource and will develop education plans specific to audiences from pre-school to older adults, in both professional and non-professional groups throughout North Carolina and the surrounding states. The Nurse Educator will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date clinical knowledge and skill, should be a Certified ABLS Instructor and should be proficient in public speaking. The Nurse Educator will serve as a first line liaison with the fire service and other groups to advocate for fire safety practices in the state. S/he will be an active member of the ABA and actively participate in fire prevention efforts as part of that organization.
Some state-wide travel required.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from a state-accredited school of professional nursing. Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
