Provides direct patient care, meeting both psychological and physical needs in accordance with the plan of care, physician's orders, and nursing and department policies and procedures. Patients range in age from neonate to geriatric. Care may be provided in an inpatient setting, ambulatory care, home health, or hospice.
Come and join our busy Family Practice Center that specializes in a care team model consisting of provider, certified medical assist and nurse team. We provide a full scope of services from pediatrics to geriatrics, prenatal and obstetric care. We also have an Urgent care clinic along with Sports medicine, and a minor procedure clinic for skin and GYN services.
Our nurses provide a wide range of care such as assisting in prior authorizations, medication refills and telephone triage. We also have direct patient care such as assisting with minor procedures, urgent care infusions and patient education training. We are looking for a highly motivated nurse who has great communication skills, is detail oriented, and is great at multi-tasking. If you are interested in preventative care, broad spectrum care coordination, we are the place for you.
Our nursing hours are Monday – Friday 8- 5pm, with the potential for weekend shifts based on business needs.
QualificationsGraduation from an accredited program of Practical Nurse education. Completion of an approved pharmacology course (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience). Licensed to practice as a Practical Nurse (LPN) in the applicable state (NC or VA).
