This Certified Medical Assistant position will assist the Study Coordinator and other study staff with all aspects of study operations. Duties of these positions will involve laboratory and office-based assignments including 1) recruit participants and distribute surveys, making phone calls and sending emails, 2) preparing and sending research kits to study participants 3) taking vitals, 4) processing blood and nasal swab samples in the laboratory for analysis and storage, 5) complete data entry, including date of mailed materials, and 6) monitor equipment and shipping supplies.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience: 
  • Completion of an accredited training program in the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Registration as a Nurse Aide by the North Carolina Board of Nursing or certification through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA.)
  • Candidates must be reliable, self-directed, and highly organized.
  • Clinical research experience highly preferred.
  • Spanish speaking language skills highly desired.
