The UNC Hospitals Perioperative Division is seeking a valuable team member to join the our postoperative department. We welcome someone who is energetic, flexible, patient driven, and an effective communicator. We are currently experiencing exciting times planning for the future of Perioperative services and a new facility. We welcome creativity and a passion for the job.
We have 26 PACU bays, 6 holding area bays, and perform 27,000 cases per year. Cases include robotics, minimally invasive, transplants, open heart and traumas. You can expect to recover complex cases with a team of passionate and collegial professionals, utilizing the best patient care models. Our ideal candidate will possess considerable knowledge of critical care procedures, be able to adapt to change, maintain a safe environment, possess the ability to w
work independently as well as on teams effectively care for our patients and families.
This position will primarily work on the 4th floor PACU which has 5 rooms and all robotics on this floor.
Strongly prefer a minimum of 2 years of PACU, critical care or emergency room experience.
This position is for 40hrs/week (4 10 hour shifts) 9am - 7:30pm
Some call and holidays are required.

Graduation from a state-accredited school of professional nursing. One (1) year of nursing experience. If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled in an accredited program within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date.
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
