RN needed for Oncology Outpatient Infusion Center

Hours: 40 hrs/week; Rotating days & evenings; 10-hour shifts. Weekend & holiday rotation. Position qualifies for State benefits, including health, retirement and other benefit options. 

 

Exceptional RN desired for the Adult Oncology Infusion Center to work with a collaborative, supportive team in a high-volume outpatient setting. Our team is a diverse group committed to compassionate and comprehensive care of each patient along their cancer journey.

In an effort to provide comprehensive care to our patients, our Infusion Center encompasses multiple treatment modalities including procedural care, phlebotomy/lab draws, chemotherapy/biotherapy infusions, blood product administration, Bone Marrow Transplant patient care, clinical trial administration and monitoring, and urgent care visits. We also provide education and emotional support to our patients and families through their visits.

A strong candidate is detail oriented, has strong assessment skills, and can communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team members, patients, and visitors. While oncology experience is preferred, those without oncology experience will be supported through orientation and training with a comprehensive education plan to help you flourish in this unique environment.

 

Qualifications

Requires graduation from a state-accredited school of professional nursing and at least one (1) year of nursing experience. Must be licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the State of North Carolina by the NC Board of Nursing. Current certification in Healthcare Provider BLS/ CPR required.


Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, preferred. If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled in an accredited program within four years of employment, and obtain a Baccalaureate degree with a major in Nursing or a Master’s degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date.
