UNCH UROLOGY PROCEDURES – RN CLINICAL NURSEII - OR

 

Scheduled Work Hors: The Cysto outpatient procedural suite operates O730 - 1700 M-F, overtime is sometimes allowed per department's needs. Specific shift and hours will be discussed during the interview.

UNC Health Care’s esteemed academic Urology Procedural Suite is seeking a new member to join our dynamic and diverse team. Minimum 1 year of OR experience. Academic teaching center preferred. Scrub experience preferred. During orientation, hours will be from 7-3:30, M-F. Orientation will last minimum of 6-8 weeks.

Our facility combines advanced technology with compassionate care. You can expect to work on complex cases with a driven team of passionate and collegial  professionals, utilizing the best patient care models.

Our outpatient procedural nurses have the opportunity to acquire professional, technical and practical problem-solving skills. We encourage staff to further their training and education through a nursing clinical ladder track, monthly in-services, lectures, and discussions.

With additional education and experience, perioperative nurses can manage budgets, staffing and other business aspects of the procedural area. Perioperative nurses may also elect to become nurse anesthetists, clinical educators or researchers later in their careers.

The ideal candidate is someone who is looking for a fast paced, academic facility with complex and diversified patients. This individual is eager for professional growth and has the ability and willingness to take on more responsibility. She or he is patient focused and a team player who is committed for the long term. 

 

Graduation from a state-accredited school of professional nursing. One (1) year of nursing experience. If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled in an accredited program within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

Graduation from a state-accredited school of professional nursing. One (1) year of nursing experience. If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled in an accredited program within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date.

 

Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.

This is a State position employed by UNC Health Care System.
