DescriptionThe UNC Hospitals Spine Center & Neurosurgery Clinic is recruiting for a highly skilled, proactive nurse to work with its Spine and General Neurosurgery programs. These programs currently treat patients at the UNC Spine Center & Neurosurgery Clinic as well as medical office building at the UNC Hillsborough Hospital. Qualified candidates will be comfortable in an outpatient office setting and will see patients in clinic with their physician teams as well as provide patient support via telephone, electronic messaging, etc. The position is M - F from 8a - 5p. Qualified applicants must have an active NC nursing license or be eligible to apply for one. Candidates with experience in spine and/or neurosurgery with 3+ years of nursing experience are preferred.
Graduation from a state-accredited school of professional nursing. One (1) year of nursing experience. If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled in an accredited program within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date.
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
