DescriptionOncology Nurse Navigators in this role will be per diem and will be members of the Outpatient Float Pool. Their role will be to provide supplemental support to the oncolology navigators. The candidate must possess excellent verbal and written skills, strong organizational, prioritization skills, time management, and strong leadership and interpersonal skills. The candidate must possess the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with the healthcare teams. Basic working knowledge of managed care, insurance coverage, procedures, and community resources preferred, but can be learned. Prior knowledge of Epic a plus.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from a state-accredited school of professional nursing. Two (2) years of nursing experience and one (1) year in the area of oncology specialization.
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. Oncology Nursing Certification (ONC) within two (2) years of employment. (Must maintain ONC credentials throughout employment.) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
