The UNC Rex Surgery Center of Cary, LLC provide's surgery on an outpatient basis. Procedures include General Urology, ENT, Orthopedic, Plastics. The Surgery Center is open from 7:15am-5pm. There are 4 ORs, 1 procedure room and a Lithotripsy truck. The Preop area has 13 bays. In Preop they use a team nursing approach with a RN to patient ratio of 1:2. The PACU has 6 bays with a RN to patient ration of 1:4, 1 being a PACU charge nurse. Each area, Preop/Pacu and OR has a Team Leader. This is a team oriented department, where co-workers are more like family. The Surgery Center is closed on all major holidays, and does not require weekends or call and all Co-workers are eligible for a Bonus Plan each quarter.
Position: Operating Room RN
Graduation from a state-accredited school of professional nursing. One (1) year of nursing experience. If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled in an accredited program within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date.
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
