UNC Division of Pediatric Medicine - Full-Time Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physicians

The Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is currently seeking board certified or board eligible Pediatric Emergency Medicine physicians.

Clinical responsibilities include direct patient care as well as teaching and supervising residents and medical students in the Pediatric Emergency Department (PED), a specialized 10-bed section of the general ED at UNC Hospitals. About one-third of all patients admitted to NC Children's Hospital enter through emergency department. Expert clinicians representing the full complement of pediatric and pediatric surgical subspecialties are available 24/7 for consultation.

Our Department and Division take pride in offering multiple opportunities for faculty development and in fostering strong mentoring relationships throughout the University and Medical Center. All division faculty members are expected to perform scholarly work to enhance the academic mission of the division. Experienced PEM physicians, as well as soon to graduate PEM fellows are encouraged to apply. Ideal candidates will have previous experience working in an academic environment.
