Maintains an environment of safety for patients, self and others.
Performs an initial patient assessment and periodic reassessments (including patient safety needs) using objective tests and measures to determine functional outcomes and to monitor effectiveness of treatment programs.
Plans and implements individualized patient care programs through the utilization of selected occupational therapy treatments based on patient assessment data.
Documents treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart.
Educates patient and family about treatment procedures to be continued at home.
Collaborates with other healthcare team members to assure coordination of patient's plan of care and discharge plan, with full consideration of patient safety needs.
Participates in clinics, conferences, and continuing education programs designed to improve patient care and staff performance.
Completes competencies as assigned.
Experience One to two years as a licensed Occupational Therapist preferred.
Education Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university preferred.
Licensure *Must have current NC OT Licensure, BCLS
