We are seeking interested applicants to fill a Medical Technologist II that will oversee day-to-day operations at our Chatham Park Laboratory. This position offers the opportunity to work in an outpatient setting collaborating closely with other patient care providers. The position will primarily be based in the Chatham Park Laboratory in Pittsboro, but some rotation to other ambulatory labs may occasionally be needed.
In addition to sample analysis and instrument maintenance, job duties also include participation in new equipment and test evaluations, writing procedures, training staff and maintaining proficiency with all regulatory and safety requirements.
Testing will include performance of waived, moderate and high complexity testing in Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis and Phlebotomy procedures.
This is a generalist position providing coverage for chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, microbiology and phlebotomy. Additional responsibilities include quality control testing, instrument maintenance and calibrations. Excellent customer service skills are needed to create an atmosphere of trust and confidence, and promote a positive image.
Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Biological Science or Chemical Science. Medical Laboratory Scientist ASCP level BOC required. Two (2) years of relevant experience.
