Location: UNC Medical Center with limited rotations
Hours: Monday- Friday 8:30am-5:00pm (Hours and days subject to change based on departmental needs)
The limited rotations include our off-site UNCH mammography affiliated locations.
The work responsibilities include performing quality 2D and 3D screening and diagnostic digital mammography at all UNC facilities. Responsibilities also include assisting radiologists with invasive mammographic/ultrasound procedures. Emphasis is placed on providing outstanding patient care and customer service. Strict adherence to hospital infection control policies, JCAHO rules and MQSA standards are a must. The orientation period for this technologist will last for at least 6 months. The probationary period will last for a minimum of 9 months.
The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and customer service skills, be highly motivated and patient centered, demonstrate initiative, have excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task, be detail oriented, and a strong team player.

Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program. MQSA-required education and on the job training provided to qualified candidates.
Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible and become registered within one (1) year from date of hire (Registry eligible candidates must provide a copy of diploma from accredited program). Must maintain registry status and continuing education requirements annually. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
