PeriOp Short Stay Unit (SSU) RN Per diem Day/Night Opportunity
SSU is open Monday-Friday, currently.
The Short Stay Unit  is new to Hillsborough Hospital so it is a dynamic environment--flexibility and self-motivation is key!

 Rotating shift needs with self-scheduling options. Per diem have the opportunity to float to other units as well as pick up extra shifts beyond the required PD appointment.
Hillsborough PeriOp is looking for a team player that is flexible and able to communicate effectively, someone who is energetic, and customer focused.
Position is to provide routine direct patient care in the peri-operative short stay setting. It is expected that this staff member cross train to PreOp and PACU.
Our ideal candidate will possess considerable knowledge of medical-surgical care and the perioperative process, be able to adapt to change, maintain a safe environment, possess the ability to work independently as well as on teams, and effectively care for our patients and their families in a short stay unit setting.

Schedule: Per diem "At Will" signing up to work 3 shifts (12hr) in a 6 week period.
No benefits but ability to maintain and contribute to the perioperative team with flexibility of schedule meeting the needs of the unit/department.


Graduation from a state-accredited school of professional nursing. Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification. One (1) year of relevant and current experience required.

This is a State position employed by UNC Health Care System.
