Job Description


The position's primary focus is to participate in the daily operation of the human in-vitro fertilization laboratory.

In collaboration with other staff, this position performs conventional insemination, egg retrievals, oocyte stripping, embryo transfers, embryo freezing and thawing, micromanipulation of eggs and sperm for intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI, and assisted hatching (AH).

Maintains accurate and thorough laboratory records, ensuring all patient information is documented appropriately in the medical records system.

Analyzes patient lab results and documents information appropriately.

Participates in continuing quality improvements and proficiency testing programs to ensure lab procedures and tests are performed with the utmost precision.

Assists in communication and education with patients and their families on basic issues and concerns related to infertility and its treatment.

Assists laboratory director in maintaining and updating laboratory supplies.


Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Biology or related field.

Experience Requirements:
At least one year of experience with a clinical in-vitro fertilization program. Two to four years are preferred.

Candidates with IVF, ICSI and Cryopreservation is preferred.  Experience with Trophectoderm biopsy is a plus, and a good working knowledge of QC/QA is highly preferred.
