OR Pediatric Congenital Heart Program                                                            RN Opportunity at the Medical Center


North Carolina Children’s Hospital provides the highest quality, family-centered care to children from all 100 counties throughout North Carolina and beyond. The Children’s Heart Center at UNC is experiencing rapid growth and has undergone transformative change.    Our faculty are dedicated to promoting excellence in all areas of pediatric cardiovascular care and extracorporeal technologies. We are a comprehensive congenital heart care provider offering neonatal heart surgery and single ventricle palliation, surgery for adult congenital heart disease, advanced therapies for heart and lung failure including ECMO, ventricular assist device implantation, and heart & lung transplantation.
 We are in search of dedicated, experienced, and team-focused providers to join our dynamic group in nursing, perfusion, ECLS, and cardiothoracic surgery. If you are certified provider in the aforementioned disciplines with experience in pediatrics and/or cardiovascular care, we welcome your application. Chapel Hill is located in the heart of  the Research Triangle in North Carolina. UNC Hospitals is seeking experienced OR nurses who are looking for a bright career building opportunity in this exciting, collegial, fast paced environment to join our team. 

 

Since our OR's are open 24/7, we have a variety of scheduling options with some on call required. Positions are 40 hours a week which qualifies you for a generous benefit package. We have flexible scheduling to help you maintain your work / life balance.

Experienced OR Nurse with Pediatric Heart Experience Preferred  


 


 

 

Qualifications

Graduation from a state-accredited school of professional nursing. One (1) year of nursing experience. If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled in an accredited program within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date.

 

Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.

This is a State position employed by UNC Health Care System.
